Subject: 93 405 Mi16 - Radio Codes and Door Seals
Author: <peugeot@tesla.tor.ec.gc.ca>

Hi all,
I have removed my Eurovox radio from my Mi16 to put into my other car,
however it has a security code, which I have, however, nothing happens when
I enter it. Is there some trick to entering it ?
My other question concerns door seals. The door seal on the Drivers side
doesn't sit properly, as it looks like the metal stip inside the rubber has
corroded, and hence doesn't fit snuggly on the seal guides. Does anyone
know what sort of cost I will be up for to replace it ? It doesn't look
like any other seal I've seen before. I think it is the cause of a squeak
when I go over rough ground, and the car twists slightly, causing the
rubber seal to rub against the paintwork.
I was checking the codes in the ignition ECU, and got back a 41, which is
the Engine Speed Sensor. This problem has occured before, as it was shown
on one of the service reports, and all they did was clean the connection
and it was fine. It happened one other time, however this time they had to
replace one of the coils. I don't however have a manual of any sort, so I
don't know where the Engine Speed Sensor is, and thus cannot clean the
connection. If anyone could provide me with the location, I would
appreciate it, however I am guessing that I will be up for another Coil.
Does anyone know why they fail, and also how much a replacement is likely
to cost.
Thanks for you help,
Greg.
