I have a '87 505-sti v4 2.2l automatic, and my cruise control works but
it can't seem to keep a consistant pace. Its either speeding up (abrubtly) or
slowing down. At higher highway speeds its better, especially on flat strecthes.
But if I'm going with the normal flow of traffic with cars in front of me, watch
out. The car will slow to a point then quickly accelerate to make up for the
loss of speed (which almost always causes me to have to brake to avoid hitting
the car in front of me.) So I don't use it much, but every once and a while its
fun to speed up and slow down with the cruise control lever instead of the gas
pedal.
