505 O2 sensor

I have s 1985 505gl wagon with an XN6 engine. When I have my O2 sensor
connected, the engine runs rough and it reads 20% OCR. When I disconnect
it, the sensor reads 60%. This sensor have 5K miles oon it. Before this
happened, it was allways 60% with cold engine, insted of the recommended
50%. Any ideas?
