Sorry. I wasn't clear. I got sloppy with where I put the phrase "under
warranty." Made it look like the original headlights had to still be
under some kind of warranty. No, I don't think the headlights have a
special warranty; nor technically are they under warranty at all I think
for anyone at this late date since the last 405 sold in 1992. Assuming
this was done through the Feds, I guess they got wind of the problem,
decided it was a safety hazard, and told Peugeot it had to fix it. From
the dealer's point of view, it's a warranty job, since PMA pays for it.
That's how I ended up referring to it as a warranty thing.

The bottom line is that any owner of a 405 is probably eligible.
