Each engine has been designed to operate in a particular power band. The
Mi16
engine / transaxle were designed to complement each other so that the
engine
operates within its designed paramenters. Similar consideration was given
to older
V8's with sub 4K red lines and the current crop of 'Crotch Rockets' that
wind out to
over 14,000 RPM.

When the rubber escapes the 'rear' motor mound, there is no isolation
between the
engine and the chassis. It sounds like a bad exhaust, but the problem is
direct transmission
of engine vibration to the chassis.
