I can't go look at this without pulling my Mi16 out of storage but here's
a thought... Could a makeshift fix be put in place using aircraft
stainless-steel safety-wire twisted by hand? I mention this as this
wonderful wire is something I have on/in all my vehicles. A wad of that
can be stuffed anyhwere in a car. On my motorcycles and bicycles, I keep a
few meters inside the handlebars. Great for a chain break there! It's
quite strong... once in the Alligator Enduro at Daytona, I wired an upper
shock eye on a 'cycle back in place to finish the event.
