I don't think this would work because the end of the clutch cable has no
eye ring, hook or anything else to twist the wire around. The end of the
cable is solid bullet-shaped steel or aluminum with perpendicular grooves
for the retaing clip. There is no way in my mind that you could wrap or
twist anything around it alone, or attached to the broken
connector....which also smooth with no hook (because the hook is the part
the broke)
