The Bosch part number for the ECU in my 1989 Mi16
is #0261200161. I replaced it three years ago and had to know Peugeot
part numbers and Bosch numbers. I ended up finding it used in Texas for
1/3 the price of new.
I would have to check, but I believe this ECU was used in 49 states in
the US. The part number for the california Mi16's ECU is different I
think. I might have a California ECU, because my car, while purchased in
Massachussetts, had to be "found" by the dealer because the original
owner wanted to have both black paint and black interior (black/red seems
more common). Who knows where my car came from.
Per a discussion I had with Bosch, this part was installed on all
16-valve 405's built from 1988 to 1991, and also on all 16-valve 309's
built from 1990 -1993 or 1994.
