405 Mi16 Electrostatic Noise

It's pretty cool and dry here recently and my radio plays a loud 'click'
sound everytime I open and close a car door which switch on and off the
courtesy lights. I'm sure it's electrostatic as it's not a persistent
noise. Does anyone know how to cure it completely before it damages my
speakers?
