You are right Mike - it was indeed I who struggled valiantly to find
an equivalent spark plug from Bosch. Everywhere I turned I got
different part numbers and gapping advice. In the end, I replaced 'em
with more of the same: Champion RC9BMC. It turns out that these are
made specially for peugeot, and are not listed in the Champion part
catalogue. You have to get them from you local friendly peugeot
dealer, who in all probability will only have 3 in stock. They run
about $5 a piece, which believe it or not is cheaper than they are in
France (I checked last time I was there).

For your amusement, here is the list of other plugs that I was
recommended:

Haynes: Champion RC7BMC 1.6mm
Owner's manual: Eyquem FC62LS3 1.2 mm
Bosh: 4204 1.5mm
Lew Bailie: Champion RC10YCC 0.8 mm
Eyquem RFC42LS 0.8 mm
Jim Lill: Champion RC7YCC, RC7YCX 0.8 mm

The main difference between the stock RC9BMC and all the rest is that
the stock plug has two anodes (or is it a cathode...), one on each side.

cheers... charles.
