Hi,

I just replaced the autolite platinum AP3924 plugs ib my MI16 last weekend.
They cost around US$3.50 per pair in department stores. They get gapped at
.032". I have used these 3 times with no ill effects. I change them every 6
months, mainly to monitor the burn quality of my engine. At that price, it's
easy to justify doing that. I obtained marginal, yet marked better
acceleration and idle smoothness.

On the front hub bearings, try to find a dealer that can do it. You'll
actually get by cheaper than a regular garage, as the difficulty in replacing
those bearings is near impossible without the Peugeot special tools required
for the operation of pressing both in and out. I had a saab/volvoe specialist
do mine, and his tools were industry compatible with the only exception he'd
seen being my Pug. I paid around $280 in labor alone, and it would have been
around that per side at my dealer, including the cost of the bearing, which
cost me an additional $80. I saved nothing and caused a good mechanic to pull
out his hair and create a new tool just to change my bearing.

The level of difficulty of this job rates at around a 10 on a scale of 1-10.
