Hi Robert,

Mine also doesn't work well, and I don't use it. My advice is as follows:

1.carefully pry out the brown plastic shield that covers the sensor near
the sunroof switches, and clean the inside of the shield thoroughly...it
is likely dirty/dusty.

2. Are the doors unlocking? I found that my locks were not unlocking and
it was because the lock mechanism in each door had dried out. I took one
out to lubricate, but you don't have to. The mechanism is the size of you
fist and is located in the upper rear corner of each door. the mechanical
asembly that needs lubrication faces the inside of the car, but is
mounted on the outer door panel. Using a good spray lubricant (white
lithium grease) and one of those small spray straws, spray into the area
from the outside door handle, and door lock in the side of the door
(spray up!). The electrical connections are well insulated in rubber, so
you shouldn't harm them. It is not necessary to remove the door panel.

3. A good solution is the purchase of an aftermarket alarm that has a
door lock feature. The technology (is it infrared?)used in these newer
sytems is more effective than whatever technology Peugeot used. Whoever
installs your alarm (you can do it yourself) will simply wire the new
alarm into your electric door lock circuit. These alarms sell for
$200-$400 in my area.
