505 TD turbo leaks?

For 2 years now that I've had this '82 505TD, there has been a soft hiss
coming from behind the glove box whenever I really get on it. No
anaconda. When I roll down the passenger window, I can hear a fairly
loud hiss like compressed air out that side. Again under load only. I
figured it was the hose from turbo to the intake manifold but cannot
find any leak. Now I'm wondering if the wastegate can be set too low, or
just where pressurized boost air could be leaking.

I'm looking for a boost gauge to take a reading, but in the meantime
does anyone know where these things are most prone to leak? The engine
is extremely clean, no obvious leaks at the manifold to head. Not sure
about the EGR gizmo, especially the "bellows" gadget - could that be it
and how can I tell without a dyno so I can load it up while my head is
under the hood??
