I just thought that I would pass on my thoughts on the Carlisle Pa Import
Autofest/Flea Market.
I usaully take my Volvo and hang out with the Volvo crowd but I am very
excited to be driving my Peugeot there this year and hopefully hanging out
with the Peugeot crowd. The last few years that I have gone to Carlisle, I
have sold and purchased many parts and automobilia (sp?). I highly recommend
this to anyone interested in imports and kit cars. There are alot of tool and
automotive chemical stands as well. Everything is at flea market pricing
and I purchased a set of new brembo front rotors for my 81 505 TD for only
$10. I have a bunch of stuff that I have to do to my 81 505 TD before I
bring it to Carlisle but I am determined to get it done to bring to the
first meeting of the Peugeot Club NA.
Another Bonus and a reason to bring your camera is that for the last three
years, I have seen Elvis at the fairgrounds..
Hope to see you there.

PS. If anyone is interested, here is what I am doing to my 81 505 TD.
Before you read this, note that I had only put 5 kmiles on it after
complete restoration and the car was my father's so it has sentimental
value.
The car was wrecked in the front end.
- Replace Hood, fenders, radiator, condenser, radiator mount and headlight
mounts, headlights (Install Euros), and new grille.
- Paint and blend ( I am lucky that I had an extra 1/2 gal of basecoat
mixed up when I painted it before.
- Remove transmission (5spd) and find out what got jarred because it will
not go into gear. While the transmission is out, I am going to replace
the clutch and pressure plate and throwout bearing. (It does not need it
but it is something that I always do)
- The rear suspension arms are badly rusted so I am going to replace the
rear suspension. I am going to re-bush the suspension arms and convert
the differential to a limited slip.
- The Parking brake has not worked for a while so I am going to replace the
cables, rebuild the calipers and replace the rubber brake lines.
- I also have a set of sway bars from my 85 505 Gas turbo parts car that I
am going to put on if time permits.
I will probably be bolting something together the night before I make the
7 hour drive to Carlisle but I hope that it will be worth the fun. I can also
make in one tank full with the 505 TD versus two tankfulls of super in my
Volvo.
