* More 106 speed tips:

* In the engine it is possible to coax more power with non-restrictive intake
(air cleaner) and exhaust (headers/ tail pipes/mufflers.) Some chips can get
more power out of an engine, though the trade-off might be the need for
premium fuel rather than regular grade. Synthetic oil is a little more
slippery (5w-50) than mineral oil. SPLIT-FIRE spark plugs might give a tiny
edge in both mileage and power.

* Another factor to remember is air drag. Keep that paint clean and waxed. A
slippery car goes faster and gets better fuel consumption figures.

(And the low rolling resistance tires, e.g. MICHELIN ENERGY MXV4.)

These are all basics to any car. None alone will do much, but taken together
add up
to better 0 - 60 or 1/4 mile acceleration times.
