I read Don's comment on him being sick for spending $4800 cdn on his
86' STI. I believe that this is what the car is worth, but it is
definitly not what you can buy them for. My 86' 505 Turbo was $2000
cdn with 129000 KM. The car was purchased in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
I had mentioned findind a similiar wagon for $500 cdn in my last
message.
As far as insurance goes, my cars (when insured) are worth quite a bit.
My 504 V6 when completed is worth well over $3500 cdn, but only if it
is totalled. Resale is based purely on supply and demand. Since
hardly anyone knows what they are, let alone want to buy them, the
prices are very very low. When I repair the damage from the trees on
the Turbo, it is worth over $6000 cdn.
BTW it is nice to find another person from the West, it was getting
pretty lonely out here.
