bleeding ABS brakes

I just go through doing my front brakes and would like to know if there =
is anything special I have to do to bleed an ABS system
I had to turn the bleed screw as I had to push the caliper piston back =
to make room for a thicker pad. I believe I got some air in the system, =
as there was little resistance in the brake pedal. Any tips would be grea=
t. Also I got to try the ABS sytem. I felt the pulse, but did not see the=
ABS light come one. I tried it a second time and felt a thunk sound. =
Got out and checked everything out. It looked okay.
