The Mi16 has two fans which are controlled by three relays. The two fans
always run at the same time either in series (i.e. slow) or in parallel
(i.e. fast).

When A/C is on, the fans automatically run in slow mode. The fast mode is
on when the water temperature becomes too hot.

Without A/C, the fans speed depends on the water temperature. Two cut-in
points one high and one low to switch the fans in fast and slow mode
accordingly.

May be the Mi16 and the 205 GTi are designed for high engine temperature,
We found that the high fans seldom came on. For safety reason, my garage
(not the Peugeot dealer) suggested us to install a third-party
thermo-switch to switch on the high fan early.
