Power locks

The circuit that controls power locks and other un-keyed wiring blows fuses
continuously. I can more or less live with that, but occasionally the trunk
locks spontaneously shutting me out of such necessities as jack, spare
tire, spare oil, picnic blanket, etc.

My work around has been to put a jumper in the fuse holder and cycle the
power locks. This usually frees up the trunk lock. Lately however this
strategy has failed.

1. I need to get into the trunk, preferably without jimmying something up.
How can I do this? My thought is that a locksmith won't be of any help
since the key has no effect on this lock when it is locked by the power
lock.

2. I'd like to solve the circuit problem. Any ideas as to what could be
wrong or how I should proceed?
