open the pass through, Use a 10 mm socket on the end of a very long
extender and remove the 2 10 mm screws from the latch on the Lid. I would
put a trouble light in the trunk first.
If you don't have a long extension get one, you can't imagine how useful it is.
PS I haven't tested this. I just went out and looked at the layout
