1.9 engine interference?

We have established that the Mi 16 is an interference engine. That is the
valves and the pistons occupy the same place but at different times. When
the timing belt brakes they may try to occupy the same place at the same
time and something is going to give. Now the big question for those of us
with the 1.9I single overhead cam engine. Is the 1.9I an interference
engine? Do you know for sure? Hint if you believe that all engines are
that is wrong.
