I am the proud owner of a STANDARD 1989 1.9 205 GTI, the car is in very =
good condition apart from the alloys. I like the standard alloys a great =
deal but my set have had abuse from previous owners (kerbing etc.), but =
for the amount it is going to cost to get them refurbished so they are =
in keeping with the car I might as well buy some aftermarket replacement =
wheels. The problem is that I am unsure what the maximum size wheel/tyre =
combination I can have. I recently saw photos of a 205 with 17" Momo =
Arrows on, it looked very nice but I don't want to have to worry about =
tyres rubbing on the arches. Basically I want to be able to bolt another =
set straight on without having to modify the car at all, I also don't to =
get a massive set of wheels for the car, put them on and have the car =
end up looking like a tractor with miles of ground clearance!! Any help =
on this one would be brilliant..!!!!
