had the same problem years ago. The lower radiator hose was collapsing
when the engine/cooling system was HOT and the water pump was trying to do
its job. Some cars have a long spring inside the lower hose to stop this
problem. I had to run the heater in the middle of summer to help cool
the engine. Took some time to figure that one out.
