There was a quarter page article in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Edition a
couple of weeks ago that said Ecclestone has been actively courting an F1
race returning to Los Angeles for 1999. The angle on the article was that
Ecclestone was preparing to take a very aggressive run at CART and IRL
while they are divided. In part this is a reaction to the international
races showing up on the CART schedule.
