Hello Ned & everyone else,

I use use 14 inch Dunlop DA 60's (195-60-14) on my '89 Mi16 with good
luck so far(30k miles on 2, 10k miles on other 2). I think the DA 60's
have good traction on dry/wet/snow (although snow tires in winter are
the only way to go for you Vermonters). The DA 60 of a previous design (3
years ago) was rated number one by Consumer Reports magazine. I expect to
go at least 40k miles on each set and perhaps 50+. The Tire Rack is
currently running a sale on the DA 60 at approx US$50/tire depending on
size (a friend called yesterday). I often use prices from Tire Rack to
get my local tire retailer to lower his price....have saved $20 per tire
in the past. Otherwise I'l have the Tire Rack ship tires to me and I'll
pay $15 for mounting and balancing. Tire Rack's phone number is ( in the
US) 1-800-981-3783
