Actually, I just found out that my status as a resident of the UK allows

me to import a car(or 2 or 3) as my "possesions"...If that's the case,

my Mi16's days on North American soil are numbered. Shipping from

Halifax or New York City to Le Havre (France), Bremerhaven (where I had

my Merkur shipped in Germany), and Rotterdam runs about $600 US.

England may even be cheaper. However, if you bring your Mi16 over, be

prepared to drive it in relative anonymity; On my way home walking past

my favorite 93 silver Mi16, I turned my head to see about 6 405's within

my line of sight! It was like I was being swarmed.

About a year ago there was a thread on bringing cars over to North

America...What would be the deal if you wanted only to drive a european

spec car around for awhile (say less than a year) on the original

European plates and return it afterwards?

Would this be possible?
