Again, I totally agree. I drive my car very hard and _it_ loves it too.
Quite often after driving it tamely (something I try to avoid!) it gets
stodgy. A couple of hard changes and it's good again. The car has done
200,000km without any engine work. Compression tests done last week showed
it to be in very good condition.

One thing to be weary of though before you change your habits. As one
unlucky person found out, to test the high zone straight off can lead to
bad results. If you decide to start trying harder shifts do it gradually,
slowly getting faster and faster. This will let the car gradually get used
to it and get rid of all the crap it has built up.
