My exact feelings. I contacted a local "Registered Importer" about
the possibility of importing a peugeot that "met US specs". The guy was a
total jerk in the first place(after he heard peugeot, instead of Rolls
or Jaguar-$$$$). He told me even though it may be US spec it probably
would not pass. I asked him if there was more to this than than just the
mechanics of the whole thing, and he indicated that there was. I've been
told that it a greater task dealing with the "political" B.S. than
bringing a car into spec. I have been told that Merc and BMW should be
blamed more than the Big Three for the state of the Grey Market.
