This is a response to the above and to the various other mail that were
RE: to it.

The Clarion uses a 4 digit code, The Alpine uses 5. The Alpine does not
need any pauses or mode button presses.

It's possible that your card does not match the radio, here's why: Radio
theft is always a problem and many dealers take radios out while they're
on the lot, perhaps yours got swapped for someone elses(?). Or, maybe the
original radio failed, and that one you have is a replacement. You might
have to get ahold of PMA. I'd be ready with your VIN *and* radio S/N. They
have an e-mail address but may not give the code via the net. It's worth a
