405 DL 4HP14 tranny and high revs = ?

OK, the morning tranny update is that the tranny was fine with no
problems. The malfunctions seem to have been brought about by the
transmission valve's sticking. (The "valves" are the "brains" of the
transmission and tell it when to shift.) Apparently, when the techician
manually worked the transmission, the valves did stick slightly. The
recommended fix is to replace the fluid and then they are going also use
an additive to "improve' the flow.

I discussed Byron's comment on using only Peugeot OEM, fluid. They felt
their OEM fluid was "just as good" . (I'm afraid this is the cost of
living in the provences).

I promise that when I get it back I will break it in slowly and slowly
take it up to a good work.

On the engine performance/power issue, the tech said he was able to put
the car in drive and hold the car with the brake while stepping on the
gas. He said it was way to easy to hold the car this way.

Now the pads are brand new, but I suspect they aren't designed to be
that good. Does this sound like a performance/power problem to anybody
else?
