Raymond,

Have you considered getting a complete roof from a US wrecked 405?

List Members,

Anybody know of such an available roof and its cost

Recently I have been thinking of fixing a sunroof for my 405. Just
missed
the sunroof on my previous car. We have a few accessory shops here in
Singapore that fixes sunroofs - using some brand called Farmont from
Germany.

Question is: can I just have someone cut a big hole in my roof and fit
the
sunroof on? Someone told me that I should not do so because (1) it may
structurally weaken the roof on the car; (2) because it does not come
factory fitted, it is prone to leaks and (3) electrical fittings done
by
technicians who are non-Peugeot trained may accidentally damage the
entire
wiring system.

Any thoughts, especially from those of you who have retro-fitted a
sunroof
on their 405?
