Rear wheel v Front wheel drive

Well I must confess to being a FWD convert. My first car was a Beetle (maybe
that put me off), since then I have driven mostly FWD cars (Saab, Honda,
Peugeot, Vauxhall) and just find the control to be much easier. I would also
suggest that FWD is safer for inexperienced users. In Australia they love V8's
and I shudder to think how many accidents have been caused by inexperienced
people putting their foot-down, on a wet/loose/slippery road and spinning out.

So when my daughter grows up she will be learning on a FWD car.

Having said all of that if someone offered me a Ferrari or Porsche then my view
may change...
