Don't know if the N9TE water pump is similar to the XN6, but the biggest
problem I had was getting the fan clutch/pulley back on the shaft without
dislodging the woodruff key.

I finally got it on my 3rd try thanks to Lew Bailie:
> When replacing the water pump this time, try to glue the key in place with
weatherstrip adhesive just a drop. Then easily slide the inner pulley on
lining up the key and groove as closely as possible. After it is on hold
the
shaft with one hand and the pulley in the other. Move the pulley as to
feel
the key in the groove. then assemble as normal setting the gap at .010".

I also ended up needing a spacer between the pulley and clutch. The oil
drain crush ring fit perfectly.
