Speaking of clicking sounds, I'm not sure if this is the cause of the
clicking sound you're reffering to but it appears to be the cause of
mine.
Three weeks ago my car starting making a clicking sound that sounded
like it was coming from the frame itself. It was audible when the car
went over bumps etc...and was coming from the front on both sides.
Yesterday while washing the car I discovered the cause. Apparently
while the car was in the shop the tech removed the front wheel well
liners. When reinstalling he left out a screw on both sides that not
only holds the wheel well but also the front quarter panels. Both
sides are loose and hence shift as the car bumps and rolls causing the
clicking groaning sound!
I'm going to run by the dealer and have them replace the missing
screws. I assume this will clear up the problem. If you get a chance
check and see if your screws are still there maybe it's the same
problem.
