Don't feel bad Bob. I have THREE of them. And one is creeping. I
have also heard there is some sort of modification to be performed to
the trans, but it is supposed to be quite difficult and left to the
pros. That almost sounds like a dare to me. Ray

Ray:

A guy at Erickson Industries who used to overhaul all these things for PMA
gave me a very good description of what was wrong inside these 86-87
4HP22s and what they did to fix them. He even told me which parts to
send to them so they could modify them for me so when I put in a kit all
would be well. Because I am a little dense when it comes to automatics
I dutifully taped the whole conversation then promptly misplaced the tape .
If I ever find it or get around to calling them back, (when my next 4HP22
craps out) I transcrrribe relevent info and post it to the list.
But I do remember creeping in neutral was the sign of the end almost.
But the car would creep in park till it took up the slack in the park
mechanism.
