'87 505 STX Narrower Tire?

Hi all,

In my search for used (read inexpensive) snow tires, I have found some that
may fit. Of course no one has the stock 205/60 size snow tire for sale.

Anyhow, they are studded tires size 185/65 15. I did the calculations and
they are about 3/4" narrower and 1" less in circumference when compared to
the 205/60 15. Outside of my Speedo reading on the high side, are there
any problems with using a smaller tire? I did note that the GLS 505 uses
185/65 as standard equipment.

I think the only two things that come to mind are weight distribution and
rim size. Can my rims handle a tire that is 3/4" narrower and is the car
light enough to stand on a tread patch that is 3/4" narrower.

Thanks, Marshall.

P.S. got the Hellas on. Looks like a real rally car now.
