Same here, Steve. That's exactly what I got. The original owner said that was
normal and not to worry. Well, I did, but Brian has done measurements on the oil
temp and determined that Peugeot just mismatched their sender to the gauge. I'm
inclined to agree. You could put a hundred ohm or so resistor in series with the
sender and just bring the reading down to a more normal level I suppose.
