Hi all

Was on my way back from a salvage yard today and noticed a Peugeot 505 in a
"shady" used car lot. Of course I had to stop and check it out. The stats go
as follows:

1988 505 Turbo
white ext / grey leather interior (some burn holes and paint? on seats)
104,000 miles
passenger front window wont go down or up
passenter rear window wont go up (oops shouldn't have put it down..:-)
typical non-working sunroof - and not even closed
4HP22 automatic (shifts very solid)
A/C works
typical overspray due to some repair at front left
new Goodyear wingfoot tires
ABS brakes

When he started it I had my head under the hood and thought I heard something
rattle. I thought it sounded internal to the engine although he claims it was
the cat heat shield and later I did notice that rattle too. I drove it and it
was fun. Seemed to have a lot of pep and a very firm suspension. Brakes felt
very good too. They have it tagged at $2150 but the guy said they'd had it
quite awhile and were very eager to sell it, and of course cash would be
looked upon very favorably. I think it could probably be had for $1500 if one
tried hard enough.

Any comments on things to look for or other (since I've really only been
exposed to turbodiesel cars) would be appreciated. Boy was it quick.

Thanx
