88 505 SW8 dash lights

The engine is a 2.2 ZDJL.
The problem:>
In the last few days I have noticed an on again, off again light in my
dash on the upper side in between the RPM counter and the speedometer.
It is a yellow light with the symbol of a circle within two broken line
parantheses. I don't have a manual for this car so no way to tell what
that light is. I have a suspicion it may be a brake pad wear light, but
not sure. Would someone with a manual and/or experience please check
for me?

PS: Successfully replace the turbo feed line on my 85 TD. The source
of the problem was that after replacing head I had forgotten to put the
bracket holding line to intake manifold. I fished out the bracket and
rubber sleeve from the parts bucket and fit it over feed line near the
intake manifold and bolted it to the bottom stud of the rear most intake
port. Hopefully this will work. No leaks so far.

By the way, does any one know how long one should wait before turning
off the turbo diesel engine?
