To remove the inner door panels: (1) start with the window lowered. Remove the armrest screws (2 or 3, depending on the rest) and remove the armrest; (2) carefully pry up the surround around the door handle and the door lock; and if your door has manual window cranks, remove them; (3) using a wide-blade screwdriver, carefully pry up the inner panel starting at one of the lower corners, and going around, pop all the other fasteners. Wiggle/move the screwdriver as close as possible to each fastener before prying, and use a twisting motion where you can to minimize stress on the panel. (4) once all the plastic push-fasteners are free: note that the top of the inner panel wraps around the top edge of the door, and into the inside lip of the window well. Lift the panel up and out of this well. (5) if you are dealing with a front window, unplug the electric fasteners.

Once inside, lube the lock pushrods, etc. with lithium spray lubricant; use silicone spray on the electrical lock plunger actuator; unplug and thoroughly clean all electrical connections (things corrode fast inside doors).

Reassembly is a reverse of the above.
