I would like the shop name and address for Greg Nelson in Tucson for my
listing
of mechanics if you don't mind.
The clack clack could well be a shot CV joint or maybe a wheel bearing
The clunk could be the drive shaft splines wearing out , a common problem
You might try a synthetic gear oil or synthetic 20-50 motor oil in the trans
this should help the cold stiff shifting. Peugeot recommends 10-40 motor
oil in the 505 transmissions if someone has put SAE 90 gear oil this would
explain this stiffness. There are places where the shift linkage seizes up
and makes for stiff shifting warm or cold. Most ofthe linkage is accessable
from the top when you pull the consol and boot and plastic.
A leaking clutch master cyl will leak brake fluid into the drivers floor
if your mat is soaked this is the problem. If the resevoir leaks down below
the level of the tube that goes from the left side to the clutch hydraulics
then it is most likely a brake problem.
