Cracked cylinder heads

To repair seemingly hopeless cylinder heads, find a good motorcycle
machine shop. If you have ever seen a head from a small, high revving
engine that blew apart at full throttle, you understand what these guys
are accustomed to dealing with. I had a cracked 1974 Peugeot diesel head
repaired and a total reconstruct on a Lancia Fulvia GT head in which a
valve let go at high rpm. Neither job phased these aluminum
welding/machining artists. They do it all the time. And, the price was
reasonable.
