Coming from a couple of 86 Wagon to an 89 SW8 , I agrree with all of
the above. It is due to a weight, weight distrubution and a different
platform. I f you check the rear of your car, underneath, youy will see
an "ondulated " protuberance which correspond to the place reserved for
the feet of third bench pasenger's. The all car is heavier with more
weight on the front and the rear there is more body tension while the
modified chassis may be qualified of being reinforced. To add to that
most car received 15" wheels with a lower tire-wall profile. Third but
not least,later seats seems to be softer with less lombar support,hence
responsible for driver fatigue. This later note is probably due to
lesser quality control or fabrics since the design seems to be
identical.
