Well after standing on my head for an hour I finally figured out how to fix
my heater fan problem. Seems that there is a ground right behind the cable
coming from the rods that I believe may offer some sort of resistance that
allows you to vary the fan speed. I am no electrical engineer by a longshot
so I may be wrong on that one. After I spliced in a new wire and connector I
switched the car on and I had a fan again. This is important for all 504
owners and maybe 505 ones also to check on if you are having fan control
problems before replacing the card that is back there. Of course as soon as
I get the heat hooked up the weather in DC turns crazy and heats up to the
mid 70's. Go figure. Ain't global warming great?
BTW thanks to Steve Leung and Brian Holm for the help on the fuel sender. I
still need to tackle that one. I still haven't figured out how to check the
wire lead running from the sender itself. It disappears under the trunk of
the car seemingly into space.
Thankfully the list of things to do keeps getting smaller. :)
