I now fear for the future of my wagon. Took it to Bellevue Izuzu/Peugeot (on
the recommendation of a list member... they seem reputable guys, -AND- the
too called BS on my previous mechanic, which earned them bonus points...)

Anyhow. The final verdict, among many little things like my manual lock on
my driver's side not working...(told them my quickie fix for it... After
they had left it unlocked for 4 days! glad i took my head unit and sub out
of the car first...) was that i had broken off a tooth in the rear
differential, and the banging and jerking was due to it binding up on that.
The verdict? for a new one.. about 6 grand. For a used one, if i'm lucky
1500. The last one they mamaged to get ahold of was in Minnesota though.

However, they did say if i managed to get the rear end cheaper they'd
install it for me. (i'm surprised by that. i always figured to catch flak,
due to the parts not being waranteeable, supposedly) So here my question.
Does anyone have a rear end that'll fit on my 84 GL wagon? I hope someone
has one cheap, cause i would really hate to have to give the Pudge up... i
have been in a rental car for almost a week now, and really wish i were in
my Pudge...

Is there anyone out there that can help me out?

Thanks.....-Matt

P.S. Wierd question. do i need to consider the driveline as needing
replacement from all the jerking i'm sure it's taken from the rear diff
seizing up as well?
