My experience with Pirelli's is that the quality varies tremendously from batch to batch. Also, when spin balancing tires, Michelins typically take the least weight, which is a good indication of quality control. BTW when racing Saab's on banked oval tracks, the Pirellis handle better but don't last more than 50 laps without serious failures, the Michelins slide but last almost all season!

Ok, I know Michillins are a favorite--but can these really be better than
Pirelli? I mean, as far as cars go, Italians are far superior to Americans, I
figured the tires would be as well, unless its just a name. Also--why does
every superexpensive euro car have pirellies?
