Thanksgiving trip report - '89 405 DL

Well, I am happy to report that over Thanksgiving, I drove to and from Iowa
City, IA from New York City...over 2000 miles total, with no problems
whatsoever. Oil consumption on my 8v 405 was limited to about 2 quarts
total (which was sporadic...between fill-ups I would either add 2/3 of a
quart, or none at all...depending on the mood/appetite of the car). Fuel
mileage dropped a bit from the past, as I averaged around 32-33 mpg for the
trip (although my average speed not including stops was around 80 mph).
Just wanted to share a success story - hope everyone else had a great
Thanksgiving too!
