'87 505 sedan N9TE windows not moving

Hi

The electric windows on my '87 505 seem to be frozen I've tested the
switch with a VOM and there is continuity when there should be.
Questions:
1. What else can be done before I tear the window apart?
2. What it the most efficient dis-assembly procedure?
3. What tools should be gathered before I begin.
