I don't know why the first message did not go through.

Open the fuse door and look into the upper left of the opening. The chime
is a white rectangular box measuring approx. 1in x 1in x 2 in. With the
chime ringing, it should not be too hard to find by sound and feel.. I
removed mine, and can't say that I've missed it. If you do remove it
altogether, be sure to put a "Hide a Key" box outside the car in case
you lock yourself out.
