XN6 piston skirt breakage

I talked to an owner of an 86 505 XN6 which had one of the piston skirt
break on him at 140k miles. He rebuilt the engine and is now selling the
car. He also said it's a common problem for that engine. Is that true?
I do not recall seeing that mentioned on this list in the past 8 months.
What is the cause of piston skirt breakage? Do I have anything to worry
about in my 85 XN6 wagon?
